Our surgeons favor a dual plane placement, positioning the implant partially behind the pectoral muscle, which helps minimize the risk of capsular contracture and visible rippling.
Drains are generally avoided thanks to refined hemostasis technique, except in special cases. Implants have no fixed expiration date, but periodic ultrasound checks are recommended, especially after 10 years, to monitor their integrity. Some patients experience temporary changes in nipple or breast sensitivity, which typically recovers over weeks to months, with a higher likelihood in patients choosing larger implants.
